AccuBar Files Patent for AccuBeer
October 25, 2006
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- G4
Technologies Corp. announced today that it has filed papers
with the US Patent Office to patent its innovative approach
to measuring the amount of beer in a keg.
The filing allows the company to
begin beta testing on a system that can determine to within
one pint how much beer a keg contains. The device, called
AccuBeer, will allow
its users to quickly track consumption of their draft beer
on a shift-by-shift basis and compare it to sales. Closing
this gap in the bar-inventory process will allow managers to
drastically increase accountability among staff members and
increase their profits.
G4 has been a leader in developing
innovative approaches to managing beverage operations in the
hospitality industry. Its initial product,
AccuBar, has earned
praise in the industry for simplifying the crucial but
difficult task of tracking inventory of liquor, beer, wine
and other items.
"Better tracking of draft beer has been the Holy Grail of
the bar industry for ages," said Dave Grimm, a founding
partner of G4. "The losses gushing out of a typical beer tap
are enormous, but the industry has had little choice but to
write them off as a cost of doing business. AccuBeer plugs
that leak."
